For any person needing to comply with the new revised first aid requirements within the organisation and work place

Maximum of 12 delegates

Course aim:

To teach the correct techniques and understanding the role of a first aider

Course content:

  • Understanding the role of a first aider
      
  • Understanding the importance of basic hygiene in first aid procedures
      
  • Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
      
  • Demonstrate how to administer first aid safely to a casualty who is unconscious or in a seizure
      
  • Demonstrate how to administer cardiopulmonary resusitation promply and effectively
      
  • Demonstrate how to administer first aid safely to a casualty who is wounded or bleeeding/ or in shock
      
  • Administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a casualty who is choking
      
  • Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries
